We can install an air source heat pump from as little as £3,500 in the UK (including the government grant). A typical 3 bed semi would typically cost between £5,500 – £7,000.

The installation of an ASHP heating system is not simply a case of swapping your old for an air source heat pump as they work quite differently. An air source heat pump installation is most commonly a whole heating system upgrade.

ASHP systems work at a lower flow temperature than traditional boiler systems. This means that the existing radiators and hot water cylinder may need to be upgraded for ones with larger surface areas to allow the heat generated by the ASHP to heat your home and hot water as efficiently as possible. Ignoring this could result in an inefficient system that could struggle to provide the heat to the home. As a result, upgrading the radiators and hot water cylinder may need to be factored into the overall installation cost.

Depending on the size of the house and the number of radiators that need changing, the installation could take between 2 and 5 days.

The existing pipework can be reused in most cases, but if it can’t, replacing it can also add to the cost.  Reusing the existing pipework infrastructure minimises upheaval, which means that in the majority of cases floorboards will not need to be pulled up to get to the pipework.

Taking into account the £5000 Boiler Upgrade Scheme (see below), a reasonable level of investment to expect for a complete system, matched perfectly to your requirements, fully installed, would be from as little as £3,500 with the average home costing £5,500+.

Spread the cost into manageable monthly repayments

You don’t have to worry about funding cost of getting an air source heat pump. With financing options available, it’s never been easier to switch.

We do not send sales people to your home. We send a technical assessor out to you once your new system has been specified. The technical assessment is carried out to confirm that your ASHP project is specified correctly and the price you have been quoted is accurate for what is required.

In the case of new builds, there may not be a requirement for a site visit if we can work entirely from the plans.
